Day 6 - Change. I struggled with this one, but right now, the corn in the Midwest is changing quickly. The drought has taken its toll, and farmers are dealing with the fall-out. Although I no longer have to worry about the corn crop, there's something about a field of corn that brings me the peacefulness of home.
I have been afraid we wouldn't have any this year, but thanks to the rain we've had, we are buying local corn. I hope things straighten out soon for all the farmers.

amen, jeanette! it's really too late to save the crops here, i think, but it can still save the pasture land for cattle which we desperately need.
